This place has gone through several names. It was University Chicken/Cluck U, then it was Smoke Eaters (now a local chain) when it was on that Man vs Food show for the 911 Challenge.

PSA: Don’t ever do that challenge. I have known people who have done this and you pay for it for about two days. Personally, I have taken one bite of a 911 wing in my life and it was unbearably painfully hot from just one bite. Do not do this ever - it’s stupid - you have been warned.

Now the place is called Wicked Chicken and I list it here because they probably have my favorite wing sauce flavor. I usually get the Atomic level - pretty low on the scale. It’s enough to feel the heat but still taste the food. It has a bit of sweetness to it and according to that Man vs Food episode - it is probably due to the duck sauce they add to the mix.

Because I like the sauce - one of my favorite things is the Devil Fries. It is a basket of fries smothered in wing sauce. Some may find this disgusting but it's up my alley because I like the sauce.

The place is great for sports watching with TVs everywhere and has a big tap selection with a good variety of beers. The outside seating area has a lot of TVs too for catching games and is also where I sit if I have my pup with me.

Located right across from Santa Clara University, it surprisingly is usually not overrun with college kids. One reason may be that it’s a bit on the pricey side (even for Santa Clara U kids). One other downside, and it’s a personal thing, is that I like my wings a bit smaller in size and they tend to run on the bigger side. Some people may see this as a plus though.
