O’Flaherty’s

San Pedro Square mainstay that has been there forever. Right across from the parking garage so reliably packed on Sharks game nights. I like how it’s in a brick building as the place probably had to live through a bunch of earthquakes - perhaps the Irish really are lucky.

Some say the Irish gift to the world is Guinness, but I say that their gift to the world is day drinking. When you are in some foreign city and can’t find an open bar during the day - search for an Irish pub and I’d bet it’s open. This place is open at 11 AM so you can get a pre-noon beer if you so desire.

The highlight of this place for me is that they actually have treats for my dog - so - yeah, I am totally spending $’s here.

They have a great beer list and a solid whiskey selection. They have a lot of the rarer allocated Buffalo Trace bottles but they are also pretty pricey. They do sell by the look of the half bottles so apparently other bourbon enthusiasts have a lot more money than me.

Ever since the whole COVID thing they have the outside seating with TVs set up so it’s a pretty good set up to watch games now as well. Previously it was just a few small TV’s inside.

They also partner with one of the nearby places for food so you can get snacks here too.
