Comstock Saloon
The Comstock Saloon sits at the intersection of Chinatown and North Beach and oozes nostalgia with its vintage vibe - especially the huge rotating antique fan that sits over the room. The bar has been a solid fixture in the SF cocktail scene and you can expect drink quality to be accordingly up to par.
The place kind of feels like two bars the way it wraps around two rooms and is connected in the back. They offer quality cocktails and provide an old-time classy atmosphere to the south end of North Beach. The building and bar have been around for a while and I think it’s awesome that they work to preserve as much of the past building and fixtures.
The food menu matches the upscale nature of the place and has some great offerings. I personally have never eaten here but I’ve seen the plates on other tables and they seem pretty enticing.
They also have this tiny upstairs balcony where they have live music. They are usually playing mellow instrumental music that is befitting of the vibe that Comstock offers.
