Paris - (Fall 2024) - Day 4
Departure Day for the South
We used Paris as the entry point to head to the south of France which is where we will get on a train today for Marseille. We will head back here at the end of the trip to catch the flight back to the US.

Boulevard du Montparnasse
Much calmer than the night before with the crush of diners on a holiday evening
Cafe Montparnasse
Strolled back to Bvld Montparnasse in the morning to get a pastry and some coffee. This restaurant is located on a corner in an excellent people watching location but not too much going on in the morning. I’m sure the outside seats are coveted in warmer weather.
Montparnasse Farmers Market
It was Saturday morning so the farmers market was going on. This one was fairly large and was very busy. It pops up right near the tower in Montparnasse. The tower is unusual because it is the only tall building anywhere for miles.

Jumbo’s Burgers
We were leaving on a train out of Gare de Lyon so I searched the area and found this burger joint some blocks away. The walk there was a bit longer than I thought for hauling luggage around but it was very much worth it. Double thumbs up for this burger. They smash the patties very thin and then they load it up with cheese, pickles, onion, and their special sauce.
