Las Vegas (Summer 2023)
Since it snowed the last time we were here, we felt being here during pool weather was good for a true Vegas experience.
Below are some new places we tried.
Velveteen Rabbit (Arts District)
I have wanted to try this place for a while but was never in the Arts District late enough for them to be open. I think you may typically need reservations but we were there early on a week night and found plenty of seats.
The drinks were great and inventive. A lot of different flavors you don’t find in regular cocktails. Definitely one of the best cocktail bars in Vegas.
Good Pie (Arts District)
Just down the block a little bit from Velveteen Rabbit is Good Pie. Very convenient place to coat your stomach for the rest of the night. Decently spacious sit down and bar area.
They have a take out slice counter at the front. It was a nice night so we just decided to eat the slices on their front patio.
Silver Stamp (Arts District)
Quite the gem in the Arts District, this no frills beer bar is classic midwestern in the heart of Vegas.
The wood paneling and kitsch on the walls just screams of Michigan or Minnesota. The tables and seating make you think you are in a VFW hall.
They have a great selection of beers on tap.
BrewDog (Strip)
Newly opened on the strip, this place is unique in that it offers a very good rooftop view of the center strip.
The place is also rather huge. It has multiple floors and plenty of space on each one.
We were there during a hot day so it wasn’t that crowded but I can imagine that it may get more hopping at night.
