Azul Latin Kitchen

Azul Latin Kitchen

I typically would not bother mentioning a place like Azul in the list because it gets plenty of traffic and you literally can’t miss this place on the busy Heavenly Village corner in South Lake, but a few things are worth pointing out:

  1. They have achieved the mathematically impossible task of providing the correct chips to salsa ratio - they must have math PhD’s in the kitchen. They literally provide the perfect amount of salsa for the amount of chips they give you - this never happens anywhere else in the world. This is also the best cheap snack they have and the salsa is fantastic (and I am a salsa snob).

  2. They have these great double Adirondack chairs outside where I can hang with my dog and he watches the world go by on the busy corner. California Burger usually has live music that you get the benefit from by being next door. It’s a great place to chill out if you can find a seat.

They have the prerequisite tequila wall for a Mexican restaurant. The food has been very good the times that I have eaten here but for me it’s usually the 2 bullets above that draw me here.
