Audible’s Sports Bar

Just up the hill on Kingbury Grade, Audible’s took over the location of the old Goalpost bar. This is a locals hangout with very solid food. Someone recently told me that they had the best wings in Tahoe and it’s hard to argue. The downside is that they are a bit pricey like a lot of things these days.

I liked how the wings were still crispy even when sauced (an important feature that you can usually only reliably get at Korean chicken wing places). The Double Dipper wings are fried, sauced, and then fried and sauced again.

When I went they had multiple Bell’s Brewery beers on tap which you don’t find on the California side thanks to the archaic alcohol distribution set up we have in this country. So belly up here and get you Bell’s Two Hearted Ale (which is better than Pliny for you beer hunting sheeple).

The bar seats are reserved for gaming and TVs everywhere - which you kind of have to have if you are a sports bar. The beer cap mosaics on the bathroom doors are a nice touch.
